SUDA 320-L3 Named Significant Vessel of the Year

  • Post category:liftboats

From the firm that is known for pushing the envelope in the world of vessel design, comes the world’s largest liftboat. A. K. Suda, Inc., the world renowned naval architecture and marine engineering firm has designed a 273’6” x 133’ x 14’ liftboat, with 320’ legs.  It has the ability to work in water depths of up to 250’.  It also features (2) leg mounted cranes, each capable of lifting 325T, with a boom length of 160’

The legs and pads on our 320’-leg design weighs 25% less than comparable ones and yet carry a higher VDL.  The usable leg length on our SUDA 320-L3 is the same as liftboats with legs 10 to 15 feet longer.

We have been told by our clients that our designs are about 25% cheaper to build than designs with similar capabilities.  This liftboat will compete favorably with some of the most well-known jackups, at a much smaller price tag.

We are honored that Workboat Magazine has recognized the significant achievement in our vessel design, by naming the liftboat one of the “Top Ten Significant Boats of 2010”. This vessel is now the World’s Largest Liftboat.
